Terms and Conditions

1. What this is
Simian Dev Hub is a Unity Editor tool and Discord-connected package platform, built and operated by GGGravity. It lets you browse, download, and manage packages through a Unity Editor extension, a companion website, and a Discord bot and server.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Simian Dev Hub, consistent with Discord's own Terms of Service. Your account is created and authenticated through Discord OAuth - there are no separate Simian Dev Hub passwords. You're responsible for whatever happens under your linked Discord account.
3. Server membership is required
Access to Simian Dev Hub is tied to being a member of the Simian Dev Hub Discord server. If you leave or are removed from that server, your access to the tool, the API, and all packages is suspended immediately, whether or not you paid for anything. Rejoining the server restores access automatically.
4. Package licensing
Packages you download, free or paid, are licensed to you for use in your own projects. You may not redistribute, resell, share, or otherwise pass along a package or any part of it outside your own projects. Free doesn't mean unrestricted. Each download is individually tied to your account and traceable back to it - see the Privacy Policy for details. See Section 5 for how the main package and Simian Packages may and may not be shared with others.
5. Distribution rules
The Unity Editor tool itself (the "main package") can be shared two ways: through the official link at simiandevhub.com/download, or by passing along the package file itself, as long as it's kept on the latest version at all times. Sharing it any other way - an outdated copy, a modified copy, or individual files pulled out of it - isn't covered by that and is treated the same as unauthorized redistribution below.
Individual packages available through the platform ("Simian Packages") work differently: they can only be distributed through their official per-package link at simiandevhub.com/download?id=<id>, or by sharing that link - never by passing along the package's files directly, official copy or not. Doing so bypasses licensing, purchase requirements, and the download tracking described in the Privacy Policy, and is treated as unauthorized redistribution under these Terms.
Modifying the main package or any Simian Package, and distributing that modified copy in any form, is also prohibited.
6. Paid packages
Some packages require a specific Discord role to download, obtained by purchasing through the link provided on that package's listing. Those purchases are handled by Upgrade.Chat, not by Simian Dev Hub directly - we don't process payments or see your payment details ourselves. Upgrade.Chat grants the Discord role once the purchase goes through, and access here is granted and revoked based on whether you currently hold that role.
7. Refunds
Simian Dev Hub doesn't process payments and doesn't handle refunds directly - purchases go through Upgrade.Chat, so refund requests go through them and whatever policy they have, not through us. Losing access because you left the Discord server, were removed from it, or lost the required role isn't grounds for a refund on its own.
8. Copyright and takedown requests
If you believe a package distributed through Simian Dev Hub infringes your copyright or other rights, raise it with staff in the Simian Dev Hub Discord server with enough detail to identify the package and the material in question. We'll review it and remove or restrict access to the package while it's looked into.
9. Suspension and termination
We can suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, violating the Discord server rules, sharing or redistributing licensed content, modifying and distributing the main package or a Simian Package, fraud or chargebacks on a purchase, or leaving the Discord server. We can also discontinue or change Simian Dev Hub at any time.
10. No warranty
Simian Dev Hub and everything distributed through it is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime, that packages are bug-free, or that the service will always be available. To the extent allowed by law, GGGravity is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Simian Dev Hub.
11. Changes
These terms may change as the platform changes. Continuing to use Simian Dev Hub after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised with staff in the Simian Dev Hub Discord server.
