SIMIAN DEV HUB

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

By using Simian Dev Hub, you automatically agree to this Privacy Policy. Agreeing here also means agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy of GGGravity, the company behind Simian Dev Hub.

1. What we collect

When you log in with Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, and avatar. We generate a separate internal ID for your account (a "Unity ID") that isn't tied to any other service. We also read your roles in the Simian Dev Hub Discord server to determine what you have access to.

If usage statistics are enabled (on by default, toggleable in Global Settings), we store your IP address alongside your account and your operating system, so we can see which countries and platforms actually use the tool. Your IP is used to look up your country through a third-party service and is kept, both against your account and in a short-lived internal cache of IP-to-country lookups, so we don't have to repeat that lookup on every request. It's never shown as a raw address anywhere in the product itself - staff only ever see the resolved country, not the IP.

Every time you download a package, we record which package, when, and (separately from the statistics toggle) the country and OS the download came from. This can't be turned off, because it's also how we detect and trace unauthorized redistribution - see below.

2. Why we collect it

To authenticate you and keep your session secure, to determine which paid packages you're allowed to download based on your Discord roles, to show staff aggregate statistics about usage, and to protect paid and free content from being redistributed outside the platform.

3. Downloaded files are individually marked

Every package you download has a small notice added to it identifying your Discord username and ID and the time of the download. This is disclosed here plainly: if a package you downloaded turns up shared or leaked elsewhere, it can be traced back to that download. This exists specifically to enforce the distribution rules in the Terms and Conditions - packages may only be shared through their official download links, never as raw files, and this marking is how violations get traced back to an account.

4. Who else sees your data

Discord, for authentication - see Discord's Privacy Policy. A third-party IP lookup service (ip-api.com), which only ever receives your IP address for country lookups. Purchases of paid packages are handled by Upgrade.Chat, not by us - they process the payment and grant you the Discord role that unlocks the package. We never see or store your card details, and any billing information you hand over is between you and them. We don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

5. How long we keep it

Session tokens expire after 30 days. Download links are single-use and expire within a minute of being issued. Your account and role data is kept while your account exists; if you'd like it removed, contact staff.

6. Security

Session tokens are hashed before storage and never kept in plain text on our servers. Download links are single-use, short-lived, and never expose the real file location. Leaving the Discord server immediately suspends access across the whole platform.

7. Cookies

The web dashboard sets one session cookie so you stay logged in between page loads. That's it - no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking cookies, no analytics cookies. The Unity Editor tool doesn't use cookies at all; it stores your session the same way any desktop app stores local settings.

8. Children

Simian Dev Hub requires you to be 13 or older, in line with Discord's own terms, and doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

9. Your choices

You can turn off general usage statistics (country/OS reporting) at any time in Global Settings. This doesn't affect the account, role, and download-tracking data described above, since that's required for the service - specifically its licensing and anti-redistribution protections - to function.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated as the platform changes. Continuing to use Simian Dev Hub after a change means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy can be raised with staff in the Simian Dev Hub Discord server.
